Cosmo Cricket
Yeah...one more time you will read this...
But seriously, I just realized that the site that I use to make my banner now has Cosmo Cricket! I'm delighted! As if I've not seen enough of it in the past week - I'm now adding it to my blog! Their scrapbooking stuff is PRECIOUS and their fabric (which is new) is to die for. I've got to get my hands on MORE! LOVE iT!

WOW...
I can't believe that I've been away for so long!!!
I've actually been busy on my other blog...but we had computer issues and I lost all my photos...and then Jim was able to find them all...along with every other single picture ever viewed on the computer - there were over 100,000 photos I had to sort through to actually find my photos. Annoyed, I begged him to try something different in finding MY photos since I had them all filed by dates. And so, he did. Thank you Jim!
The (almost) two months that I've been neglecting my blog has been CRAZY! Our Mops group started back which has been wonderful. Our Bible Study started back which is awesome (thank you Starla) and Madison school has had me on my toes!
I've become "that mom". Normally, I don't get involved except to help out where I'm needed. but this year it has been nuts. The first thing was while I was helping in a class I realized they weren't doing the pledge. So, I asked Madison if her class did it...and nope, they weren't either. So ,I asked a few other kids who weren't in her class...and well, it was a school wide thing. So, I went to the Principal to ask her why and she got very upset that I "started a rumor" that they weren't doing the pledge. I had to explain to her the difference between rumor and fact. And the fact was - they weren't doing the pledge. So, she sent out an email to the staff asking them to "do the pledge since a mom had started a rumor that they weren't doing it". I guess she didn't quite understand the meaning of rumor. Oh well.
Then....I get a call from the church asking where Madison was. Hmm, I thought, she should be on the church bus. But, I was in town so I marched myself down to the school in hopes of finding her wondering around the school lost. But, no. She wasn't. In FACT...she was on a public school bus - destination,....unknown. Apparently, she was given a bus pass which was signed...but not by me. And even though her teacher had a note from me saying she was riding the CHURCH bus...the teacher still wrote me note asking what she should do about the bus pass (which I didn't get till that night) and put her on the school bus instead. Now, I know they have my number, because they have called me! But, I didn't get any call from anyone at the school. Irritated by the lack of concern by the principal who said to me as I was sobbing in the lobby worried to death about my missing six year old " I'm sure she is here somewhere" and walked away. Yeah...very compassionate woman she is. Maybe she is still mad at me for schooling her on the difference between fact and rumor? They were able to locate the bus driver and asked him to keep her on the bus and return her to the school. Amazing.
I called the School Board and well...they didn't seem at all concerned with the lack of communication at the school. I've made some other contacts outside of teh school in hopes of resolving this obvious problem. We'll see what comes from it. Maybe nothing at all....regardless I will either be homeschooling next year or she will be attending a private school. I'm looking into both options at this point. I feel I can give her so much more than the school could ever give her anyway...and she is above grade level right now and totally bored in class.
I also kept a sweet little baby for two weeks during the mornings...quite exhausting and a reminder that maybe having two healthy sweet little girls is all I need!
My 365 project also came to a halt due to the computer issues...I gave up on taking photos..but I'll be starting back up here soon...I miss it! :)

I've come to realize
I know, I'm WAY behind on my 365...but we had computer issues...and I've not brought over my pictures to the computer again...so bare with me. In the mean time, I saw this on my friend Susan's blog...thought I would go along with it.
Rules: Once you've been tagged, you are supposed to write a note completing the 36 "I’ve come to realize." At the end, choose the friends you want to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it's because I want to know more about you or I knew you way back when and am interested in what life has taught you!! (Note from Katie: I'm not tagging anyone, if you'd like to play, let me know.)

Yes...our TV died...it served us well. We bought it at Sams and well...Sams served us well. We didn't have the receipt (which I will always keep now) but they did give us credit for the TV and so we turned around and used it towards the new TV and ended up only paying $100 out of pocket! :) We ended up not getting the 50" (they no longer carry the 50" Vizio at Sams) so we got the 42". Which will actually work out better since we have had the hardest time finding an entertainment center we both like that fits the old TV...now we will find it - I"m sure of it!
